24 hours from now, my best friend forever Lisa Twining will be arriving at the San Jose Costa Rica International Airport!!!
It sounds like a freaking fantasy, but it isn’t. I am DELERIOUS with anticipation. Happy 75th Birthday to Me, three and a half weeks early!
Just Got Back from My Second Walk with Crystal
The time goes by soooo fast when we walk together. She is super delightful! We’re going to be walking three days a week (at least) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays. (I need to get pictures! Crystal, remind me!!!)
We’re both chatterboxes and deep thinkers, so the six laps around the soccer field feel like they take about 15 minutes. Today we actually took seven laps around: I wasn’t paying close enough attention to count them, so we ended up doing one more than usual. I can tell because I’ve taken 8360 steps today and I usually only take about 7100 by the time I get back home.
SHOPPED A WEE BIT WHILE AT THREE CORNERS
I bought a small whole frozen chicken at the Super this morning so I can pop it into the crockpot before Adilio and I leave for the airport tomorrow. That way Lisa and I will have a meal waiting for us when we get back here; we won’t have to fuss over making one. She is likely to be extremely tired after a 22-hour journey (including three hours at Sea-Tac and ten at the San Francisco airport).
Her return flight on the 20th is even more onerous: it has a 13-hour layover in Chicago. CRAZY!!! She is sacrificing needed income and finances to be able to do this, and I am forever in her debt. SHE’S giving all to be my 75TH BIRTHDAY GIFT! She’s a champ!
DANG! I’M WIRED!!!
My watch says I only slept six and a half hours last night, but it starts keeping track at 10 pm and I slept at least two hours before then, so I’m good.
I probably won’t sleep much tonight because I’ll be Lisa-tracking (which is worlds better than Santa-tracking on Christmas Eve!) but that’s OKAY!!! SHE’LL BE FLYING HERE TO BE WITH ME!!!
DAMN, I’M EXCITED!
I doubt I will be blogging much while she’s here, but I will be posting pictures on Facebook every day, so you’ll be able to see the fun we’re having and what we’re doing. I’ll catch you up on details as often as I can. She has some business clients to attend to remotely while she’s here, so I should be able to blog whenever she’s doing that.
