WOW! I published yesterday’s blog post on DailyKos.com and received more than 300 responses in under 18 hours. Most of them positive & thankful. The piece has been recommended so many times by readers that the platform is keeping it on its trending list.

That’s amazing.

But no one in my immediate family would like what I wrote, so I haven’t told them.

So, this is just between you and me, and several hundred other people.

I’m encouraged by the response. I mentioned in a comment that it’s my first Daily Kos post, and about ten commenters encouraged me to write more commentaries.  I’ll think about that, but I don’t want to become a regular.  Winning this big the first time is plenty — and who knows if I could do it again?  I don’t — until I do it again. And I’ll know when that is.

I knew this one had to get bigger than this blog could make it.  It had to get seen. It wasn’t a choice. It was almost a commandment that came down from on high. My Muse dictated it to me.

In Other News

Phil Weyland, DeForest Kelley’s stand in and the director of his play in Lubbock Texas in 1974,  won’t be joining us for an EVER NEW after all.  He IM’d me to say he only does phone interviews. I told him I could arrange the interview so his live image doesn’t appear on the podcast, but that didn’t work for him. It breaks my heart.

I hope someone else will interview him by phone about his De memories.
