The above “scary words” have been strategically wielded (as bald-faced disinformation) for generations by the GOP even though the policies vilified by the misleading terms have produced ONLY GOOD THINGS for United States citizens and most other developed (and developing) countries.
“FDR was a Socialist!”
“LBJ was a Socialist!”
“RFK Senior was a Socialist!”
Any time a president or presidential candidate talked about a government by, of and for the people — that is, a government that collected taxes and then used those funds to benefit the citizens who paid them — they were deemed socialists.
Most democratic socialist counties (except the U.S.) provide the following using the tax base which their citizens provide. (How many of them do the U.S. provide these days? Not many thanks to unwarranted wars, greedy oligarchs, corporate owned so-called “representatives, and policies that have stripped protections?)
Universal health care
Free public education through university
Medicare
Medicaid
Social safety nets
Infrastructure
Public Lands
National Parks
Public Transportation
Clean Water and Air
Etc.
Etc.
Etc.
U.S. Citizens:
Vote in November for the future you want for your children and grandchildren.
Check your voting registration.
Vote on a paper ballot.
Use drop boxes, not the USPS to deliver your ballot.
Vote Blue/DEM up and down the ballot.
Note of caution: Be sure the DEM you vote for has a record
that reflects DEM values and policies.

posing as DEMS.

The GOP cannot be redeemed. It has hosed itself for good by attaching itself like leeches to the Chief Sea Lamprey. who is sucking the life force out of the nation.
Don’t be frightened off by scary words. Be aware and step up to the plate.
Scary words won’t hurt you. Scary policies hurt everyone.
