Beunos dias!!! Es un dia magnifico!
I took some pictures earlier this morning of the foliage that surrounds my casita so you can get a clearer appreciation for the immense variety of plant species that exist in this verdant volcano-enriched mountain soil. Coffee, cocao, bananas, plantains, and other foods familiar to most US and global grocery shoppers are grown here in Costa Rica. It’s a cornucopia of plant and animal species.
Tomé algunas fotos esta mañana del follaje que rodea mi casita para que pueda obtener una apreciación más clara de la inmensa variedad de especies vegetales que existen en este verdoso suelo montañoso enriquecido con volcanes. El café, el coco, los plátanos y otros alimentos familiares a la mayoría de los consumidores estadounidenses y mundiales se cultivan aquí en Costa Rica. Es una cornucopia de especies vegetales y animales.

There are smaller bird species here in abundance, but neither of my imaging options (camera or smartphone) have been able to capture them up close enough to create an image worth sharing. When I get them, I will certainly share them with you.

The squirrels here are exquisite looking. I haven’t been able to get a good image of the one that hangs around here yet, but when I do I will share it with you.
