I totally packed and weighed my luggage today to make sure it will all fit while  remaining under the 50 pound weight limit per bag.

 

It does! WHEEE!!!!

 

I’ve been concerned about that. Now I’m not.  One bag weighs 49.5 pounds and the other weighs 40 pounds. By the time I fit the bathroom scale in it (it’s very light), the lamp with USB ports (also very light), and a few other items in there, that one will still be under the 50 pound weight limit, so I won’t have to pay extra for overweight or oversized baggage. Hurray!

 

My new laptop and a few other things (light) will go into my carry-on and Charli will go into her carrier.

 

Sad News

 

I was just called away because Mr. Tumnus had gone down and the new owner wanted me to try to get him back up and/or to say goodbye.

 

Sadly, I ended up saying goodbye.  He didn’t live more than 90 minutes after I got there — but we gave him lots of sweet love and he went peacefully.

 

I’m saddened beyond words.  He was my favorite goat, of the many I’ve had. The new owner poured money, time and lots of love into his care and upkeep. She said he was doing so great yesterday that she was sure he had turned the corner and would be okay over time.  Alas! T’was not to be.

 

Tillie will get a new (older) buddy very soon. She won’t be alone for long.
