My Kings Books event is just three weeks away now!  I’m getting excited and a wee bit nervous. I’ve only done one other personal appearance since COVID and it was for  a much smaller group (eight, as I recall). The Kings Book venue can accommodate up to 100 people, 80 of them in chairs.I very much doubt there will be that much turnout, but one never knows…

Jeff Richardson and I are going to visit the bookstore today to get the lay of the land. He wants to see what the acoustics are like so he can mitigate against background noise as best he can for the livestream when it happens.

I will also place the De/McCoy Standee (image below) and display rack of my books today. The owner has given me permission to do that.

So, I loaded all my books into the SUV (three bins full). I don’t know how many they’ll want me to leave there today, but I will leave all of them if they’ll allow it.  That way people who come in and want to buy any can get them right away. Some folks may not be available to attend on June 11th, and my goal is to re-home every one of my tree-books (softcover or hardbound) before I leave for Costa Rica in September. I’m not taking any tree-books with me. I have them all on Kindle, and that’s good enough for me.(Books are heavy and Costa Rica is humid, so bound books won’t last long down there, I’ve read.
