My second garage sale wasn’t the absolute zero fizzle that my first one was. Two sets of visitors stopped by, including a delightful couple I met when they attended my book signing last year (or was that earlier this year?) at Starbucks. They got some really good stuff, some of it from Lisa’s items. (A sleeping bag and skillsaw.) We didn’t make much, but it’s a start, which is a step up from the first garage sale, since no one showed up for that one!
And Mikey, a volunteer supporter of unhoused people, stopped by to pick up three bags of blankets and socks. While here, they looked over my garage sale and chose some vinyl records and my Baywatch jacket, which will go to their wife (a Baywatch fan of the highest order). I wish I had thought to give them a copy of FLOATING AROUND HOLLYWOOD, too, because there are a couple of really fun Baywatch reminiscences in it. That would have been a nice addition! I’ll hope they get back to me on another matter (they know a Costa Rica native to connect me to) so I can offer a copy…
It has been cold and wet outdoors so I’ve been walking indoors and coloring in my intricate mandalas coloring book. I’m addicted! I need to take some more pix of the results and put them here…
