I’m in search of DeForest Kelley’s nephews Michael and/or Gene. I have poems De wrote that they may own the rights to.

When De was in the hopsital, he had me computerize his non-STAR TREK poems. I did that and took copies to him. When he mentioned them to the late Teresa Victor on the day she visited him in the hospital, he told her about them and she told him she would like to publish them for him, but De said, “No, Kris and I are going to publish them.”  Her husband (I presume it was her husband) was in the hospital room when they had this conversation and, if he’s still alive, he might be able to corroborate it, although I’m not sure he’d remember it.

Be that as it may, Carolyn Kelley authorized me to publish “a few” of De’s poems in my book and elsewhere, but I never got anything else in writing to prove that De and I intended to publish all of his poems. And since I don’t have it in writing, my presumption is that his nephews probably have the rights to them as De’s heirs since he and Carolyn had no children.

I’d like to find them and discuss a collaboration with them, OR if we can’t come to a mutual agreement, so I can send them these poems so they can publish them.  If anyone knows how to reach them, would you please send me their contact information so I can reach out to them. I’ve googled them and tried finding them on Facebook, but had no luck.

If I can’t find them, these poems may never get published and that would be a real shame.
