Will someone solve a mystery for me? My 17th title, TRAILBLAZER: A Guide for Magnificent Misfits, will be out in early 2024 and I’m wondering how many of my usual readers will buy and read it.
I wonder this because all I usually hear from my regulars is, “Are you going to write another Kelley book?”
I have already written eight Kelley books, seven of them in an all-out effort to share every single interaction I enjoyed with the Kelleys. Those volumes are the ones that continue to sell (not hugely, but several sales per month usually) as more people discover and fall in love with DeForest Kelley/Doctor McCoy or De’s other portrayals, but alas! I have no additional stories or insights to share in that niche. I’ve exhausted all possibiliities.
The Mystery I’m Seeking to Solve is This One:
Isn’t any other aspect of my existence, or of my life lessons and accrued wisdom, of passing interest to my Kelley readers?
The other eight volumes are out there, getting good reviews, but they’re ancient reviews now. No one is buying them anymore.
Is this because no one knows about them? Or is there another reason?
