Three Dental Appointments in the Next Two Weeks

October 11, 2022

I have three dental appointments in the next two weeks.

The first one is a simple, quick follow-up to see how my implant site is healing. (It’s fine, but they want to see it.)

The next one is to fix a porcelain veneer that cracked; half of it fell off.  They say they can patch it instead of needing to put an entire new one on, saving me $600. YAY!

The last one is to repair two small spots on two teeth where the teeth chipped. The fillings in them are fine, so all they need to do is seal and file down a couple places so there’s no sharpness to them or ability for baddies to slip into cracks around them.

My final dental appt this year (or early next year) will be to place the abutment and crown onto the implant so I have a full smile again without having to use the flipper (partial denture) to keep from looking like a cast member of Li’l Abner.

With any luck at all, I’ll have everything in place (dentally, if not mentally!) to fly to Cape Canaveral when the Enterprise Launch gets dedicated and launched into space. I’m supposed to talk about DeForest Kelley for three minutes then, and it would be nice to have a full head of front teeth when I do that — but the flipper is here in case that can’t happen, so I’m good either way…
