I’m Worn Out! (Marten image by Lisa Twining)

October 12, 2022

I don’t know if the flu and/or COVID booster shots are responsible, or if it’s just that I’m still in recovery after having hosted a guest for a week, or if it’s because I have three dental appointments scheduled in rapid succession this week and next, or if it’s a combination of all of the above, but I am freaking exhausted and have been for three days.

I hit the hay every night and sleep all night, but I’m tired again by noon every day!  So, I guess “nana naps” (afternoon naps) are going to have to become a daily routine with me until I recover.

Hannah and I are both introverts, so we had some down time away from each other during the day (and all night long), so  I very much doubt that my hosting duties are what threw me for a loop.  But I did get sick after Helen’s visit, too, so maybe since I’ve been isolated since COVID (2.5 years), hanging with friends for days on end has been a factor. A very worthwhile factor, if so!

I’ve also been inundated with writing tasks, and that takes a toll — but again, it’s immensely worthwhile and lucrative — so I’m glad about having work!

Heidi Smith stopped by briefly this morning to pick up “some items” which I will divulge to you at a later date. She is working on a project and until it’s ready to roll out, I don’t want to say anything more about it.

I got Solstice to show up for Heidi, but he wouldn’t come all the way down while she was here. He got into a tree near enough to the fence (the same spot where the image below was taken by Hannah last week) so he could be seen readily, but even after Heidi left, he stayed there. He didn’t eat all of the food I put out last night, so he wasn’t hungry enough to come to the hen house, and it was too chilly for me to stand there and try to coax him, so I left.

He’ll come down when he’s hungry again.  He knows how and where to come for grub, that’s for sure!

This is about all the news I have to share for the moment. I think I’m gonna indulge in a nana nap now.

It’s just what the doctor ordered!

Oh! That meme reminds me: Here is a link to my most recent interview with Rachel Carrington!  ENJOY!  It’s DE-lightful!
