I was planning to go out and sit in the chicken pen today and get some video of the chicks climbing all over me, but it’s so chilly out there right now that I even built a fire in the firepit to raise the temperature in a corner of their enclosure some. They’re all out and about but fluffed up, so they’re feeling the chill.

They are almost fully feathered now, so it’s good to expose them to different temperatures. The door to the henhouse and their heat lamp is open, so they can go in there to warm up if they want to. I’m leaving their decisions up to them, at this age. They put themselves to bed in the henhouse shortly after sunset every night now, so their little internal clocks are working well.

I’ll took a few still images, though, so you can see how big they’ve gotten since the last time I posted anything about them…
