I AGREE: IMPEACH CLARENCE THOMAS

April 7, 2023

I agree with Alexandria Ocasio Cortez that Clarence Thomas ought to be impeached. He never should have been confirmed, in fact! (If you’re too young to remember his confirmation hearing, google “Clarence Thomas and Anita Hill”.)

And while they’re at it, they should impeach Amy Coney Barrett and Brent Kavanaugh for lying under oath during their candidacies to become SC justices. (They said Roe v Wade was settled law and Kavanaugh allegedly assaulted young women as a teenager.)

Now we have (at least) two (alleged) sexual predators on the bench.

How are we supposed to feel good about justice being served in the highest court in the land when we have individuals like these sitting on it?

We need to start demanding justice for high profile people. We’ve begun, with Trump, but until we clean house of all of his influences, that isn’t enough. Barrett and Kavanaugh were,  and remain, Trump lackeys.

Is there no decency left in the GOP?  It certainly looks that way.  Even Romney said he thought Trump was being “unfairly” saddled with felonies for spending campaign money to silence women he screwed and then paid to keep quiet (and a doorman who says Trump had a child out of wedlock — big surprise!).

I have never held Romney up as a particularly moral or ethical man, but at least he voted to impeach Trump twice. He’s halfway to decent. Just not there by a mile.  Kinzinger and Cheney were willing to serve on the January 6th committee despite knowing it would end their political careers (at least in the short term), given the rabid nature of Trump’s cult in their states.   THAT’S INTEGRITY.  That’s obeying their oath to the Constitution and rule of law.

And that’s precisely what the GOP needs MORE of!

SEND THEM PACKING!
