I have reconsidered and will fly to Florida in late March (or whenever it actually launches) for the ENTERPRISE/TRANQUILITY Flight IF the offer is still available and if Celestis can get me from the airport to Cape Canaveral and to the events and then back to the airport on the day I fly out.

They agreed to fly me out and put me up in the hotel months ago but I chickened out, thinking about having to make cancel-able flight, hotel and car reservations AND drive from the Orlando Airport to Cape Canaveral and wherever else the events will be taking place. So, I emailed them again explaining that if they will make the arrangements and get someone to ferry me around while I’m there, I will fly down and speak about De during the memorial service.

If they decline (if they’ve committed the money to another participant, for example) I can still prerecord what I want to say and send it to them to play. Or I can Zoom in and say my piece live. OR Marc Lee can read what I plan to say. Whichever way it happens, what I wrote will be shared during the memorial service, and that’s the main thing.

But a lot of people are saying I should go, and now that I’m watching COSMOS, I’m more jazzed about going than I ever have been before.

So, we’ll see what happens.
