This will be a busy weekend for me. I’ll be co-hosting EVER NEW on Saturday with Hannah McCrane from 10:30 to noon and guesting on SIEMPRE RADIO AT 9:30 on Sunday with Yazmin Grant Ford and Dennis Gunnarson.

For Saturday, in response to listener requests, I selected excerpts from my DeForest Kelley books. One of them is long but riveting. (Well, they asked for more De stories, so they’re going to get them!)
The long one is from the first edition. I took out a lot when I published the second edition because I wanted to add 55 pages of anecdotes that didn’t make it into the first edition. That’s because the first edition came out not long after De passed away, so the final quarter covers his decline and hospitalization so fans would know he was well attended and didn’t suffer terribly except emotionally, having to leave Carolyn behind. But his decline and death is a downer, and I wanted the new edition to have less about that and more about the fun, alive-and-well times we shared.
SIEMPRE RADIO
On Sunday, Dennis has asked me to join him on Yazmin Grant Ford’s’s Siempre Radio show again. They got good feedback from my appearance last year when I talked about LGBTQIA+ issues.
This weekend they want to cover self-care. I’m all for it! It’s crucial during these troubling times to invest in frequent self-care. I’m well-versed in self-care. I’ve had more than my fair share of anxiety and depression (especially earlier in life, before I came out as transgender), but I’ve overcome both maladies using a self-care protocol (acronym A.C.T.; tune in to find out what those letters stand for!) that works wonders for me. I’m looking forward to sharing some insights on Sunday.
