Reporter Craig Sailor reached out again to me this morning with a few follow up questions. We spent about 45 minutes more together.
I’m anticipating a terrific article from him, based on the small intro he read to me this morning. He’s working diligently to get everything right. He had questions that tied one paragraph to the next to make the piece read seamlessly.
It’s supposed to publish tomorrow (Friday, September 15th) if the editor (who is a big Trek fan) finds that it passes muster. I expect it will, but the editor may have additional questions. If he does, Craig will call me with them.

HAVEN’T BEEN IN THE SADDLE AS A WRITER FOR A MONTH
I haven’t been writing for clients for a month. That’s a long time! But Helen was with me for two weeks, and I was battling a UTI that had me feeling addle-pated for a whole week. Now I have three Upwork clients looking to hire me, and my regular client is ready to put me to work, too, so I will catch up fast, as long as my brain stays with me. It was pretty unsettling/scary for a week or so. My symptoms could have been anything from dehydration to a UTI to a brain tumor to an impending stroke or heart attack, so I was mighty relieved to discover it was a UTI, which we could do something about! I took the course of antibiotics and am feeling 99.99% back up to par. I believe I can string words together without too much difficulty again. (I didn’t even try, much, while I was feeling loopy!)
I anticipate being very busy writing for the next two days and all next week, with any luck at all. That’s good news, after a month without a paycheck!
But I do have the tooth implant scheduled for next week, too… so that’s one day that I’ll be word-less on paper!
