Stuff and Such…

December 27, 2014

I just finished a web editing job for a networking partner a little while ago.

I created a flyer for a new networking group ( Community Business Network hosted at Bar Bistro and led by John and Rhonda Wilson) that will start on a Tuesday in April (actual date TBD; stay tuned). The first guest speaker will be Joyce Singleton of The Bigger Sandbox since she’s the area expert on referral networks.

I’m figuring out a presentation for January 6th, when I’ll be speaking before a Rotary group of about 30 people. The topic: What Can a Copywriter Do for Your Business?

Strangely enough, I’ve never been asked to give a presentation on this topic so I’m getting excited and imagining all kinds of possibilities for it. I have a videographer slated to videotape it so I can put it on YouTube and this website if what I do turns out well–and it better! This is a rare opportunity.

In addition to explaining what a great copywriter can do for a business I’ll give a list of details on how to find a good copywriter so they won’t get snookered by newbies, wannabes and charlatans. Sad to say, there are more charlatans than there are tried-and-true writers and I hate it when people get taken because it muddies the water and scares people from trying again to find a good writer to do their bidding… and that stinks!

In Other News…

Tomorrow is my last day as Nursery Supervisor at church after three years. I resigned so I can have complete weekends off and go places or do other things (including actually going to church and worshiping! What a concept!  I have missed that!)

Guess that’s about it for this time. I’m enjoying the holiday break as much as I can.  I’m making down time for myself so I can refresh and get ready for the big push on January 2nd.
