WOO HOO! Looks Like I’ll Start Serving John Assaraf’s Clients Sooner than August

May 14, 2014

Just got a quick email from John Assaraf (johnassaraf.com) asking if I’m available to talk about a project for a client of his. YES!  I have to scoot out of here at some point to sub for a power partner who has to be away from her networking meeting and I have another client calling from the UK to discuss a crucial elevator speech that he wants me to finesse for him before Friday; he’ll be presenting to a VIP that day and wants to make sure he leaves a positive, indelible impression.  I can do that!

This is a very busy week for me; lots of irons in the fire!  It’s all good, though!

I had a one-to-one today with another networking buddy; we’re working on a trade of some sort so I can get my SUV serviced and she can get the copy she needs for a couple of brochures. I’m overdue for a 60K mile checkup on the vehicle and was trying to think of ways to fund what I know it’s going to cost to be sure the vehicle is safe and sound. I only put about 6,000 miles a year on it, but it’s ten years old so it’s time for a thorough going over to see what it needs to keep on keeping on. I change its oil regularly and took care of tires and front or rear brakes last year, so I know those things are squared away.  It may be time to have the timing belt and water pump looked at and swapped out; not sure on this model. They will know, though.

Friday I’m giving a presentation at a networking meeting. I have everything prepared and squared away for that already. (I call this tendency/condition  pre-punctual. I don’t have a procrastinating bone in my body. Never have. Deadlines? I’ve never missed one and I usually beat them by days, sometimes weeks! I was the same way all through school. Teachers loved me; classmates were appalled. When they were burning the midnight oil trying to get something ready to hand in, I was so far beyond finished that they were grumpy. (“Don’t you have anything better to do than work on school assignments?” “Um, no.”  Grrrrr…) My mom instilled in me the love of learning so I was always happy to dive in and do the work…

Guess that’s all for this time. Sorry. It isn’t a copywriting lesson tonight. I’ll be sure to add some of those this weekend. I won’t have much chance before then–there’s too much to do between now and then that needs doing.
