Hidden Gem, This One’s For YOU

It always amazes me to see hidden gems (local area businesses) struggling to make a living. I know at least ten people in the networking groups I attend who should be in high clover financially because their products and/or services are beyond stellar…and still they struggle to make ends meet!

Part of the problem is that the ten businesses I’m thinking of have no written plan in place to raise their profiles in the area: no blogs, no social media pages, no ads, no landing pages, no responsive websites. And of the ones that do, they’ve rolled out anemic, sub-par presences online, which ended up shooting them in the foot.

Of course, online outreach costs business owners time or money (or both): time, if you decide to do it yourself (plus the money you’d be making doing what you’d otherwise be doing if you weren’t wearing so many hats); money, if you outsource your outreach.

But here’s the thing: unless you reach out online in compelling, come hither ways, you may as well “shutter” your store (virtual or brick and mortar) and look for another way to make a living.

Hidden gems are of no value until they’re unearthed and put on display. It’s only when your value can be seen and appreciated that people will turn out to ooh and ahh over your awesome product, service or cause!

So this is my way of saying that, as a hidden gem, you’re not helping the people you could be helping, and you’re not helping yourself. You’re struggling and your target audience/Ideal Client is struggling because there is no one else just like you–and they haven’t found you yet.

A great copywriter and a great website or social media campaign is what you need.  I’m a copywriter (check out my testimonials);  my power partner Lisa Twining Taylor is a website designer (WordPress-based primarily, but she knows other platforms, too) and a social media maven. I also know a couple of world class graphics and logo guys.

It’s time to shine, hidden gem! Give me a call: I’ll hook  you up with everything and everyone you need to throw a spotlight on your business and get you the attention you deserve!
