Making Headway! WOO HOO!

May 8, 2015

Today I got three more people in my corner.

This morning’s 723 Building Business speaker, Kelly (Brandman University) says she is going to see if the military contact she knows would like to hear from me with regard to teaching some of my copy writing classes (30 Second Introductions/Commercials, Your Professional Bio, Your Core Story, etc.) to transitioning veterans; she’s also going to have me speak at her military veterans’ conference sometime later this year!

Bill Lee is going to start touting my availability as a speaker and trainer whenever it’s appropriate while he’s out and about representing Face2Face and other concerns. I need to send him my list of topics via email and come up with a flyer but, other than that, he says he’ll take care of a lot of the word-of-mouth marketing of my availability as a speaker/trainer. He is eager to become a “viral sneezer” of my abilities and services, since he has sat in on some of the trainings I’ve offered and recognizes the value I bring to the people I talk to.

I also had a one-to-one with Steve Garvin, an illustrator and graphic designer today. He thinks we can team up to serve some mutual clients, since he needs a professional wordsmith and I need an illustrator or graphic designer from time to time.

All in all, a very productive day!

Things are moving right along!

In Other News…

I edited and copy-enhanced some website copy for a fellow networker yesterday and today. I also added crucial information that has been missing entirely from his site.

It’s a good thing I insisted that he complete my Content Questionnaire or I never would have known enough to make his site shine. NOW it will. Before, there wasn’t enough valuable information on it to elicit the know-like-trust factor or much interest at all. It was pathetically anemic. It has languished for some nine years, doing nothing. I think all that is about to change!
