Healthy Baby Nursery Design & Information

October 28, 2014

I’m beginning to feel like a bear…on the verge of hibernation.  It gets dark here real early these days. I hope I can stay awake to give my presentation on Thursday at Umpqua Bank in Puyallup!

It’s only 6:30 and I feel I could go to sleep right now because it’s pitch black outside.  Three months ago (even less) I could ride my bike until 8:45 at night. If I don’t go during the day these days, I can’t go at all.  Today was a rainy day so I didn’t go…and an object at rest tends to stay at rest!

I’ve pretty much  been a desk potato all day. Did a little editing/proofreading for the Assaraf gang, but not much of that.

I have another writing project for tomorrow that will take some time–a landing page for a webinar and an opt-in page for a special report. The target audience is new parents who want healthy, non-toxic nursery conditions for their newborns.

It’s amazing how many nursery products are toxic, even today. I’m learning from an expert (Sandra Morris, an interior decorator/designer, http://www.statementsindesign.com/ ) waaaaayyyyy more than most people know about the subject.  After reading her source materials, it’s no wonder why so many babies and young children these days have medical and mental health conditions (asthma, ADHD, etc.); the materials their parents put into their nurseries are riddled with plastics, paint and other substances that are harmful  to them and they don’t even know it…and none of the companies that manufacture the products are in any big hurry to tell them. Sandra has scads of alternative ways to make a nursery safe and non-toxic, and she’s going to start naming names and letting people know what to buy and where to buy it…and what to avoid if they want their children to develop normally. I’m completely on board.
