Advance Praise for Stage Coach: My Prescription for Panicky Presenters

March 4, 2024

Today I’m sharing the advance praise I’ve received from the beta readers of my new book STAGE COACH: My Prescription for Panicky Presenters.

(in alphabetical order by last name)

I finished beta reading your book this morning. It is incredible. Seriously, it helped me so much. I love the way you use your voice; the book feels just like a conversation with you. That’s something I’ve always admired  about your work; I always get to know you on a deeper level. Just reading this book makes me feel like speeches are gonna be easier. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Jo Essensa, New Brunswick, Canada

The questions you pose in Stage Coach to help readers prepare their speeches are the absolute crux of the matter.

I’m too old to go out and start a new career, but you’ve given me enough confidence to speak more engagingly with people who share interests. I now understand what it means to talk with others from a podium or stage. I’ll take your advice, embrace it, and soldier on.

 Susan Moore, Kokomo, Indiana

This is a brilliant book. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Kris gets right to the crux of what people fear, what’s causing the fear, and why we don’t stand up and speak out. And every word of it is expressed in a compassionate, understanding, and non-threatening way.

Although I received the manuscript to beta read and proofread, I am in Kris’s target audience so I was very much looking forward to gleaning what I could from it. This book helped me so much that I want a copy as soon as it’s available.

             Helen Schofield, Auckland, New Zealand

Based on these reviews from ideal target audience beta readers, the book does what I fervently hoped it would to do when I set out to write it.

I’m waiting on the cover for it. As soon as I have that, I can upload it to KDP and publish it.  Don’t know if it will happen before Lisa and I head for New Zealand or afterward because we’re both wondering what kind of image to use for the front cover. (I can’t think of anything to suggest.  ACK!)  But we’ll figure it out!  Our Muses will weigh in at some point and give us some guidance…
