Alas! There was nothing much happening this morning when I walked down to the futbol field in San Isidro.
This was the only “semi-noteworthy” picture that I took at 7:45 a.m.
down on the futbol field…
Nothing else was even set up. Very few people were there setting up, too, at that hour. I stuck around for an hour, but not much changed…
The info I read beforehand on the Internet
…said the event would be held between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. but Jon Graham Mitchell and Ed Fagan both let me know (after I got back and reported the fizzle on FB) that those posted hours are “Tico Time” and that nothing really takes off until around noon.
By then it’ll be too warm here
… for me to walk back down and up the hill again. And my knee is already unhappy and “cranky” because I walked down once already. I know better now, so next year I’ll get it right!
Sorry for the “highly anticipatory” post yesterday. This is disappointing news, for sure, but far from the end of the world, thankfully!
While in San Isidro de Grecia, I did buy some chocolate cake
…at the panaderia on my way back home, so the trip wasn’t wasted and ended happily! Plus, I got in 5,080 steps before 9 a.m. I should be able to get in the rest during the day just puddling around here at home. It’s only another 1400 steps to 7500! (I got in 7500 yesterday, too.)
Supposedly San Isidro de Grecia
… is supposed to get an inch of rain this afternoon. Sure hope it waits until the event at the futbol field finishes!
That’s all for this time. Have a great day!
