Over the weekend and today, I came two steps closer to getting outta here:
1.) I got the apostilled birth certificate from the WA Secretary of State
2.) I got my Social Security document notarized at my credit union.
Tomorrow I’m going to drive the notarized document to Olympia to the Secretary of State’s office so I can get the apostille for it pre-approved and on the fast track for return to me (7-10 days).
In the next two to three weeks, the apostilled FBI document should arrive from back east and then I’ll have the Golden Three I need to make the move.
As soon as I have all three apostilled docs in hand, I can make my flight arrangements to Costa Rica and find out how many boxes I’ll be allowed to fly down with. I’ll also be able make a reservation at Villas Escondidas and arrange to have Charli examined, vaccinated, microchipped and her travel docs prepared and registered by the mobile vet.
I’m jazzed.
I can’t leave soon enough to suit me
Every day I hear of a new outrage on the political front. Concentration camps are springing up like weeds, and my name is definitely on one of them, unless I get the hell out of here in time.
It feels like a race to outfox predatory pursuers, now.
What a crying shame. If not for this last election and its consequences, I would be sad to leave here.
Not now.
I’ll be freaking ecstatic.
