I’ve been eating junk food for about three days straight (unusual for me) and my tummy is telling me to “knock it off, now!”
So I’m drinking water, chewing Beemans gum, and waiting for my tummy to say, “That’s better. You can go to sleep now.”
Oh! And speaking of sleep …
NEW BED TOPPER
I ordered a 4″ bed topper last week and placed it on my bed three nights ago. I couldn’t sleep on it the first night because it came rolled up tight in a box and the instructions were to put it on the bed and let it “expand” for from 24 to 48 hours, so I slept in the recliner in my living room the first night.
I’ve slept on it the last two nights ad enjoyed the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. I inherited my bed from my sister when she got a new one, so the mattress on it is old. The new topper makes it feel like a brand new bed. I’m loving it. It was $102.00 well spent!
In other news…
MOVIES
I’m back to movie going again. T’is the reason when the best movies come out, so I’ve seen BLACK PANTHER, THE WOMAN KING and SHE SAID in the past month. All of them have been good.
SHE SAID came with subtitles (even though it’s in English) and I was surprised to discover that a lot of what the subtitles were revealing is that I am deafer than I thought. The subtitles stated things like “traffic noise, birds singing” and other ambiance, and I either couldn’t hear, or could barely hear, the ambiance effects. I could hear the words well enough, but I do know in BLACK PANTHER and THE EOMAN KING I was missing some of the dialogue. I thought that was due to the accents, but maybe not. I should look into getting some “hearing aids” now that they are available over the counter and see what will work for me.
CELESTIS
Today I received the last of my Celestis ENTERPRISE Mission items. Earlier in the week I got a mission patch and a mission patch sticker, and today I got the ENTEPRISE hoodie. I will post images of them below if my email system ever receives the image I sent it long minutes ago. My phone says they were sent, but my email hasn’t received them yet. It has been at least ten minutes. It usually doesn’t take this long. There must be some kind of glitch recently.
Update: It has been a half hour and the images still haven’t come in. GRRR!
JUST JOINED MASTODON using The Petting Zoo Server
Now that Elon Musk has taken over Twitter and allowed the Insurrectionist in Chief back on the platform, I have decided to join Mastodon and use that platform to “tweet.” We’ll see how it goes. George Takei uses it, so I feel pretty confident about using it, too. It’s far-right averse: pro-democracy, human rights, facts, and such. YAY!
My tummy feels better now, so I’m going to sleep!
