There has been a TRAILBLAZER hiccup that I’m waiting on the KDP folks to help me with, so it won’t be out as soon as I hoped. Stay tuned!

I got a message that although the manuscript and covers are clean as a whistle, there is some content in it that is similar and available free to people on the Internet, so they’ve blocked publication and asked me to get in touch with them, which I have done.

Why yes, yes, as far as I know there is nothing new under the sun and some of what I wrote about has been written about before.  So?  I’m offering my take on it. I don’t see why that’s a deal breaker as long as I’m not violating someone else’s copyright or duplicating content without the originator’s permission. I have asked for and received permission from the person who created the neurodiversity venn diagram. That’s about the only thing I can come up with that might violate the intent of the rule.  So, I’m waiting to hear what I can do to make it right so I can publish it.  The beta readers found value in it, and they are all readers, so it isn’t like the info I have in it is ho hum or common knowledge…

I’m just stymied as to why KDP thinks this title doesn’t pass muster.  I should find out pretty soon and will either fix the matter or let you know it’s dead in the water. But I put a lot of effort into it and it would disappoint me greatly if we can’t settle the matter and still have the book go out…

UPDATE: Rucking fidiculous. It seems the only issue is that I wrote one paragraph about wellknown  “magnificent misfit” Deborah King and posted a link to her website so readers can find out more about her. I will resubmit the manuscript without that puny paragraph and see if it flies this time. But it won’t happen until after Christmas now, possibly until after the new year, but it will be worth waiting for.
