This so-called democratic republic (now a fascist police state) was conceived in white male supremacy. It will probably die that way, too, based on what I’m seeing and sensing right now.
Which is the chief reason why I’m getting out of Dodge next week instead of two to three years from now:
Far too few of us are safe here anymore.
It will take decades — long past the balance of my lifetime — to redeem this nation from its present political peril.
Despite 250+ years of dedicated pushback from countless souls, past and present, who haven’t been white and male (or cowed by white males), everything for us is getting worse, not better. The closer we approach “all humans are created equal,” the harder the white male supremacists in the catbirds’ seats work to make damn’ sure it never happens.
Lost in Translation
Citizens should never have to worry incessantly about the machinations of their governments, especially not those living in democratic republics. Although worry has always been the case here in America for people of color and various non-cis genders, the trend from about the 1960’s to about 1980 was beginning to change: people of color, women and neurodiverse folks were beginning to get seats at important tables and legs up the ladder of equality.
That trend came to a halt as far-right fundamentalist Christian organizations — including the The Heritage Foundation — organized their protracted backlash against ideologies now called “woke,” culminating in Project 2025 under the present Trump regime.
Many District and State Courts are Trying to Hold The Line
…but most mainstream media is bending the knee and kissing the ring.
The so-called Fourth Estate has abdicated its responsibility to ask tough questions and demand answers from racist/sexist/fascist government officials.
And the Supreme Court has pretty much rubber-stamped the Felon-in-Chief’s Anti-Inclusion Actions
The only sane response to this is to demand the removal from office of Trump and his entire administration. He fomented a rebellion and encouraged a coup based on bald-faced lies that have been debunked across the board.
But boy howdy can his unique combination of utter insanity and carnival barker help sell newspapers by riveting viewers to their news feeds and social media accounts!
While the Heritage Foundation works behind the scenes to dismantle the clockworks that help we the people survive (the vast majority of us who are not white, male and in power), we’re being directed to chase the latest squirrel that Trump points at to divert our attention from what we should be most focused on: the ruination of our nation, our allies, the world, and our global environment!
If the American Dream dies, it will be THE WHITE MALE SUPREMACISTS who KILL IT
The rest of us need to start making other plans. There is no requirement that we, too, must go down with this ship.
Let them have their stinking carcass. There is a far better life beyond these borders.
Have an escape plan, then implement it asap!
