June 11th, 2023 will be the 24th anniversary of DeForest Kelley’s passing. If you haven’t already seen the tribute to him on YouTube that was shown at his memorial service at Paramount, now would be a great time to watch it. And if you have seen it before, it would be a great time to watch it again so you can join our event at full throttle.

If you have images of yourself with DeForest Kelley (actual or Photoshopped, or just of you with a standee — please identify if they’re actual photos!!!) please send them to me at krisATwordwhispererDOTnet as soon as possible (and not later than June 15th at midnight!) so I can share them during the Special De Kelley Remembrance episode on June 17th! Thank you! Also be prepared to type a line or two (or three or four or more!!!) about why De (and/or his portrayals) still resonate with you almost a quarter century after his passing.

 

I hope (and expect) to see MASSIVE INTERACTION on the June 17th special edition of EVER NEW because all of the special guests will be posting the announement on this social media pages, too, so this sill be a far greater outreach effort than we have ever achieved before.

 

PLEASE NOTE: EVER NEW WILL ONLY AIR ONCE A MONTH AFTER JUNE 17TH 

 

For the past two-plus years, we’ve offered an EVER NEW episode every other Saturday (except for last month) but I’ve made an “executive decision” to do just one every month at least through summer and fall because the audiencehas dropped off. People are freer to go places farther afield during the summer, and I want Hannah and I to enjoy the same freedom.

 

We may resume doing two per month dstarting in January and through spring2024, but we’ll make that decision at that time. I want to be sure we have enough valuable info and insights on hand to make the podcast well worth the time of the viewers who tune in. Most viewers/listeners want to hear De  Kelley stories. I have plenty of them (I’ve written SEVEN books about my 30-plus year friendship with the Kelleys) but rifling through them to find the best gems takes time, and there are days/weeks when I’m so busy writing for clients that I get totally tuckered out and can’t make myself look for them, so then I scramble, and that’s no fun.  It’s too stressful. I want to offer a great time every time, and I can promise that once a month, but maybe not twice a month.

 

All EVER NEW episodes after the June 17th extravaganza will happen on the first Saturday of each month.
