More San Isidro Costa Rica Ambiance Images

February 4, 2026

Here are 20 more San Isidro de Alajuela Costa Rica ambiance images, taken just this morning during my 8905-step walkabout.

These were taken on the property where my rental is:

This is as tall as I am (5’6″)

limes

avocado

lemon or lime on a tree

pineapples grow here, too!

some kind of cactus

bananas or plantains, top center of image above

This acreage is a wonderland!!!

Charli is outside right now exploring again (12:15 pm), but she will come rushing back when the workers get here at 2 and start making gravel-pouring noise!  I just checked on her to make sure she’s A-OK.  I do it every hour if she doesn’t visit me “enough” to suit me during the daylight hours. (She gets locked in with me at night.)

MORE WALKING

I went down to the corner crossroads this morning to walk around the track five times that surrounds the soccer (futbol) field. I managed to get a picture of the supermercado and San Isdiro Iglesia (church) during that time…

…plus a picture of the sign of one of the two sodas (Tico-owned restaurants) that are across the streets from the soccer field:

I will get pix of the fruit and veggie place, the panaderia, and the other small tienda (mini mart) probably tomorrow.

I walked there before everything was open, so I was only able to visit the panaderia (got a muffin and a doughnut there, mostly to meet the proprietor for the first time) and the smaller tienda, where I got another bottle of Powerade because, like a dummy, I didn’t bring my water bottle — and after about 5,550 steps, I was mighty thirsty! The sun was out on the track full force and there is no shade on it. I WILL take my water bottle from now on!

My landlady was out and about this morning on the back patio, so I spent a few minutes chatting with her.  Before she got up and came down, I wandered around the yard and picked up the small and medium size branches that were blown down in the gale force winds that we had recently because I was still 500 steps short of my 7500-step goal.

I also have taken on (of my own accord, with the landlady’s permission) the watering of the six or eight plants that are on my side of the back patio. She has a bunch, plus the yard, to water, and I figured that since I’m the beneficiary of their proximity and can keep an eye on their watering needs, I am the logical choice.

Besides, it gives me something to do every couple of days for all of five minutes, so I’m delighted to do it!

That’s all the news I have for this time except to exclaim:

LISA WILL BE HERE WITH ME IN THIS PLACE

AT THIS HOUR

JUST SEVEN DAYS FROM NOW!

I am SOOOO excited!
