Maya Angelou Mesmerizes Me Every Time

June 5, 2014

Maya Angelou’s light will never fade or fail. Her spirit is eternal and thank God for video, audio, YouTube and Upworthy, where it’s possible to catch her again whenever my “good good good good vibrations” begin to slow and falter.  “Still I Rise” “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” and so many other wonderful poems, passages and speeches keep my heart open, hopeful and (I pray) helpful.

The woman was a miracle. We all are. She just knew how to reveal the miracle of herself better than almost anyone I’ve ever known or heard speak.

Unique, powerful, passionate, real, sassy and faithful, Maya Angelou spent her time on earth very, very well.

I loved her.

I love her still.

I always will.

Rest in peace, good and faithful savant.
