I know I may seem to be marinating in rage and disgust at the way our nation has been sabotaged by Trumpublicans.

 

But I’m not, really.

 

It’s just that when I elect to put fingers to keyboard on my own behalf (instead of clients’), I feel — to the core of my being — that what’s happening right now is going to determine the outcome as to whether we survive as a democratic republic or whether we allow fascists to run this grand experiment right off the rails and into the ground.

 

And that’s consequential not just to me, and to us, but the the entire world.

 

I can’t think of anything more crucial to man the battlements against.

 

We’re being destroyed from within. Our enemies abroad need only stand back and watch it happen. They don’t need to lift a finger or a warhead.

 

SOMETHING’S GOTTA GIVE

 

I hate seeing citizens at each others’ throats. If the facts were followed, the vast majority of us — DEM, GOP. IND and all others — would be on the same side demanding our representatives to do OUR bidding, not the bidding of ideologically far right corporate heads, white supremacists, misogynists, xenophobes and homohobes who presently occupy the catbird’s seat under the present regime.

 

Not every American is white, rich, and powerful. So white, rich, powerful people should not be calling all the shots, gerrymandering districts, and making it harder  (“next to impossible” is their goal!) for non-white females and young people to vote.

 

Yet, here we are. That’s happening!

 

I know people are waking up.  All recent elections in un-gerrymandered districts have gone overwhelmingly for DEMs.  (Yes, I am well aware that Corporate DEMS are far from perfect, but they beat the alternative by lightyears, and since there is no way presently to have a third party win an election, even most Independents are voting DEM, as they realize that we are at a crucial breaking point in this nation. All hands are on deck to STOP THE REAL STEAL THAT IS PRESENTLY BEING ORCHESTRATED BY THE GOP.)

 

I’m relieved that most people are waking up.  They also need to vote, if they aren’t already voters.  We still have that one ace in the hole to defeat what’s happpening now.

 

MAKE YOUR CONCERNS FOR THE CONTINUED SURVIVAL OF OUR NATION COUNT. We haven’t yet achieved our ideals, but we need to vote to make sure we still have the ability to reach them.

 

YOUR VOTE COUNTS. REGISTER TO VOTE. STAY IN TOUCH WITH YOUR REPRESENTATIVES. DO SOME DOORBELLING AND CALLING.
