Not leaving without her!!!

(even though getting her squared away with USDA/APHIS vet checks,

shots and paperwork and flown down can cost close to $1K!)

For my FINAL BIRTHDAY here in the United States, I’m seeking travel and relocation money to help get my kitty Charli and me to Costa Rica in September 2025.
I can’t afford to stay here in the U.S. for the rest of my life as I didn’t earn enough money during my career to get me very far (financially) post-retirement. I also can’t stay here because of the current political situation, as I am one of the “designated undesirables” that Trump and his minions have high on their hit list, so I’ve decided to get outta Dodge while doing so is possible.
I have my passport and am gathering the documents I need to apply for immigration as soon as I get down there. I have researched Costa Rica extensively and have decided that’s where I want to spend the rest of my life. I’m re-learning Spanish with all deliberate speed and am feeling very eager to begin my newest (and probably last) adventure!
If you can afford to help me with this, thank you so much. And even if you can’t give money, simply sharing this fundraiser via your social media channels will probably help a lot. Thank you sooo much!

¡Gracias!

UPDATE: We’re 20% to our fundraising goal in fewer than 24 hours!

I can’t name names, but I do want to say that some of the folks who have donated aren’t in robust enough financial shape to even do it. I’m calling them my “widow’s mite” donors. If you know the biblical story, you get it.  I especially want to thank these individuals (you know who you are!) for your donations because it’s a real tight squeeze for you, and I will never forget it.

There are also those who are sending gob smacking donations. Not a one of them are relatives or close friends, but they are people who I met on Facebook but have never met (yet) in person. Off Facebook, we’ve shared personal stories and anecdotes that have endeared us to each other but in no way was I expecting this kind of response from them.

All of it is blowing me away. Every last dollar.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Eternally!
