Yippee skippy, I’m making great headway. There are just eight hardbound volumes to preserve (you can see them, in the photo below on the left) and then I start on the remaining stash, which are stored in folders of various sizes, some of them just a quarter of an inch thick, others 2″ thick, as shown below, although what you see here isn’t the entire remaining stash. The last pile next to the one on the far right is now the same height as its neighbor.
If I’m not mistaken, the thick ones contain multiple journal volumes because I decided (at some point) to consolidate them so they’d all stay in order and be more manageable than the thin ones. They might take longer to preserve than the bound volumes, though. I’ll see if I can create a contrasting color background to lay the pages against so I can image two pages at a time, as before…
Update: I just completed preserving Volume 50, and it isn’t even noon yet!
BUT I AM DEFINITELY FINSIHED FOR THE DAY, unless I get a wild hair this evening sometime!
