Just this morning, I IM’d about eight (maybe more) Star Trek “names” (actors, producers, directors, graphics artists, publication creators/editors, super fans, etc.) to see if they’d like to join me on EVER NEW on one Saturday in June this year (which will be the 24th anniversary of DeForest Kelley’s passing) for a special podcast remembering De.

So far, I have three affirmatives and zero noes, but only true, long time, super devoted STAR TREK nerds would recognize the names of the people who have responded affirmatively.

I’m hoping for one or two A’listers. I’ve written to several of them, but am not holdng my breath because I’m not all that well known in Trek circles (just De circles), so I don’t have enough clout to draw anybody in on the strength of my name.

In other words, I’m fishing without a whole lot of worm! 

Appearing on EVER NEW will not carve a notch in anyone’s notoriety belt.

But, as Carolyn Kelley told me time and again, “If you don’t ask, you don’t get!” 

So, I asked. I have nothing to lose for asking, and something to gain for making the effort.
