I’ve decided to delay my move to Costa Rica until September 2025.

Why?

September through mid-December is the “low” (off-tourist, rainy) season in CR, and since I’ll be taking about six boxes of stuff on the plane with me, I’ve decided to go when fares will be at their lowest so I can go first class and have the boxes accompany me for free.

Otherwise, if I go sooner, airfare (even economy seats) plus my luggage/boxes will cost the same as, or more than, a first class fare will cost in September-December,so it’s more frugal.  Plus, with very few tourists competing for low-priced lodging, I should be able to stay at a hotel or motel for a lot less while I look for a casita or studio apartment to rent that allows a cat.

So, it all just makes much more sense to go when the prices will be most in my favor.  AND it gives me time to really scrutinize and decide what I MUST take and what to sell, donate, or give away…

OH!  And I found a “roomier” cat carrier for Charli:

she adopted it immediately!
