Yesterday I drove to the Puyallup At Home store to find a specific piece of wall art to send to a client for Christmas.
I didn’t find it (but I found another way to make the gift happen anyway), but WOW! Take a look at what I did find!
More stuff for my Critter Corral (living room):
This polar bear is ostensibly a Christmas decoration, but it will be on permanent display at my place!
These two images don’t do these prints justice, but they’re awesome and just what I needed for two spots on my wall.
This is in my office/den to inspire me to keep fighting the good fight politically and career-wise.
I got this a couple years ago at the same store, but it deserves a repeat appearance here.
(Why yes, yes, indeed… we do!)
At Home is mind-bogglingly wonderful for home decorators on a budget.
I did find two wall art pieces for my two regular clients who use me a lot and they are PERFECT for them. I won’t publish them here (for obvious reasons!) and I wish I had taken photos of them so I could show them later, but I didn’t. They’re already wrapped and ready to be mailed.
On a side note, my clients will laugh themselves silly when they see what a ham-handed gift wrapper I am. I feel like adding a line, “Dammit, Jim, I’m a writer not a wrapper!”
They are odd sized gifts, so there was no box to put them in, so I had to make do with heavy construction paper, some cardboard cut to fit, and lots and lots of Gorilla Wrap tape to make them post-worthy. I may still have to let the post office put them in additional boxes if they won’t accept them the way I wrapped them. I DO want them to arrive looking pristine and undamaged, for sure!
In Other News…
I managed to get this picture-perfect shot of Bobby despite the two-second delay
between pushing the button and my phone capturing the image…
…and yesterday I got this in the mail from the NAACP Legal Defense Fund
I proudly put it on the wall with my BLACK LIVES MATTER images
Because four of the things on this wall aren’t legible or crystal clear in the above image, I took individual shots of them so you can read them…
