Sarah Huckabee Sanders Rebuttal on President Biden’s State of the Union Address STUNK!!!

February 8, 2023

I don’t know how many of you watched President Biden’s State of the Union Address last night. I did, and if you missed it, you can read it here in under fifteen minutes.

I also don’t know how few  of you stuck around afterward to hear Sarah Huckabee Sander’s flaky take on the President’s address.  I didn’t (just the sight of her resurrects my PTSD due to flashbacks of the Drumpf adminstration), but historian Heather Cox Richardson did, and you can hear her comments on what she had to say and on the SOTU here.

UNABASHED COMPLETE  ASSES

What I do know is that Sarah Huckabee Sanders and the hecklers and insurrectionists in the Chambers made complete asses out of themselves last night in full view of the American people.

I expected as much, but I had hoped (silly me!) for some degree of decorum and a modicum of respect for the sitting POTUS and his words.

(Or at the very least their realization that behaving like unrepentant toddlers could well cost them votes the next time they’re up for reelection. It has been my experience that every citizen wants thoughtful, measured, respectful representatives, no matter which side of the aisle one is voting for.)

Of course it was an errant hope.  Unruly disruptors don’t have the mental capacity or the self control necessary to behave any better. They’re petulant children in grown up bodies.

Biden was gracious, focused, and courageous

The president stood before these arrogant, self-serving GOP insurrectionist traitors and told them and the American people where he stands on issues of helping the middle class and poor, including raising and requiring a minimum of 15% taxes from the wealthy, on attempted coups, on mass casualty assault rifles and mental health issues, and other challenges and issues that the far right GOP finds odious and objectionable to them and their nefarious funders.

The GOP representatives heckled Biden, calling him a liar, and yelling “Bullshit!” and more in an attempt to either stifle or shut him down.  It didn’t work.

President Biden just smiled, knowing how their televised, audible disdain was playing to the vast majority of America and the world.  As a young lad, Biden was bullied for being a stutterer, so he learned decades ago how to handle bullies.  And he does it with such charm and calm that they come across like the sore losers and miscreants they are.

We live in perilous times.  You saw last night one of the main reasons.

Decency is assaulted with derision, foresight with backhanded bigotry and bluster, and compassion with sociopathy.

The DEMs (especially corporation-influenced DEMS) are not 100% aligned with the hopes of most Anericans, but the GOP is definitely aligned with nearly everything that is wrong about  America.  Instead of Make America Great Again (which it never has been for anyone other than bigoted, rapacious, empire-building rich white male supremacists) what we need is to Make America Representative (for the first time ever) for those of us who are not rapacious, rich, white, greedy male oppressors, opportunists, and predators.  (Many white men don’t fit in the aforementioned category. There are a great many good guys out there. Any man I’m friends with is among the good guys. I’ve exiled the rest. White supremacist women, too.  GONE!)

Let’s insist (with our voices and our votes!!!) that America live up to its creed instead of its creeps. Keep voting BLUE until the GOP is either extinct or grows up to be more like Eisenhower than Otto Adolf Eichmann of the Third Reich.

It’s high time we pulled the oxygen plug on White Aryan Supremacy.
