You’ve seen the Satisfaction Conviction prompt lots of times. “We’re so sure you’ll love/enjoy/use (whatever it is) that we’ll return every dime, including postage plus ten percent, if you don’t feel the same way.”
If–when you read something like this–your first thought is, “Wow, they’re going to get ripped off for making a claim like this!” you’re witnessing and experiencing the magnetic pull of the satisfaction conviction prompt.
This motivational prompt leaves you thinking, “I have absolutely nothing to lose if I don’t like the product (or service). There is zero risk.”
Of course, this isn’t a prompt you’ll use widely. But when you do, you’ll be amazed at how well it works and how few people will try to rip you off. When you do it right, you’ll get so many additional conversions that the few flakes who do capitalize on your claim by saying they’re dissatisfied will be momentary pests, not bankrupting buzzards.
What this prompt does is telegraph your extreme passion for what you offer. Passionate people sell a lot better than dispassionate people, in most cases. When you can see that someone is on fire over what their product or service will do for you, you can’t help but get drunk on their cork. You want to jump on their bandwagon and help them succeed and celebrate.
I witnessed passion yesterday when Nickie Robbs presented her 24-Day Advocare Wellness Challenge. (To find out more about Nickie and Advocare, visit these pages: www.advocare.com/120629576 and www.motiveeight.me/davidandnickie. ). She was alive with passion for what the program has done for her family and for the other people it has helped. I’ve already told others about her! She was delightful, knowledgeable, and passionate about helping people succeed, no matter how many times they’ve failed before. And people popped up to say they were in her program, or about to start it. We all want her to succeed so she can help others succeed!
