I’m a Top-Rated Freelance Writer with 100% Satisfaction Ratings

October 3, 2019

I’m a top-rated freelance writer with 100% satisfaction ratings at Upwork and Thumbtack.

So, with an array of truly-stellar, by-the-numbers testimonials from clients, I’ve recently placed them front-and-center whenever I advertise my services.

As a result, I’ve become as busy as I want to be (I’m semi-retired and don’t want to write full-time anymore), even though I’ve recently raised my rates back to where they were before I started freelancing via online portals to reflect the enormous value I bring to the table.

Here’s the ad I’ve placed at Facebook and on craigslist:

“PRICE IS ONLY A PROBLEM WHEN VALUE (ROI) IS A MYSTERY”

“I paid Kris $900 to write a post card and got a $25,000 return on my investment in less than two months. We’ve just completed a second post card and I’m anticipating equally great results on this one, too.” – JMS, Ohio

“Kris’s words helped me make a $2500 sale the day I implemented her vocabulary into my sales script. (Price of Enhanced Sales Script: $220)” — Sheryl L. Lynn, CA

“Without exaggeration you are the best copywriter I’ve ever worked with, and I’ve worked with many. You are fast, talented, reasonably priced, and a joy to work with and to know.” Teryl McLane, Scholastic Book Fairs

“It’s a pleasure to work with someone who has a high-quality standard for their work. Highly recommend!” –DK Marketing

“My sales have jumped since I added Kris’s content.” –Tom Kelly

“Outstanding! Kris saved the day and completed a project on a very tight deadline. Our collaboration was a pleasure. I’ll be calling on her services again.” — Jamie Dunne

At Upwork, I always hovered between a 98% and 99% satisfaction rating (for twelve years and counting). When they were offering “Preferred Provider” status (back when Upwork was Elance) I was one of those, too.

I don’t know what has changed, but for the past few weeks my satisfaction rating has reached 100%. Maybe after a time they drop older ratings, or review why the very few lower-than-5-star ratings were lower (and my explanations for them after reading them), and decided to more accurately portray how well I’m performing for clients.

I really don’t know the reason for the boost, but I’m very glad to see it. It always galled me that clients who gave me less than five stars–of which there are very few–should have the ability to lower my overall rating.

(Examples: One of my clients said their smartphone wasn’t working right and wouldn’t allow them to give me all five stars or they would have; another said I did a terrific job and she would hire me again, and then only gave me four stars! So, oh no, she WON’T be hiring ME again because I can’t risk low ratings for doing great work! I won’t work with her again, period–not on a freelance platform where reviews and testimonials are a provider’s bread and butter as far as getting additional clients.)

I much prefer getting clients direct from this website or via email at kris@wordwhisperer.net. There are no middleman fees this way, and I don’t have to spend time looking for clients (which takes for-freaking-ever at online freelance portals); people looking for top-rated writers come looking for me and reach out when they need me. Yay! Win-Win!

I’m able to serve direct clients for less, too, because middlemen don’t get ten to twenty percent (and even more, when all membership and connect fees are added in) of what I make the way they do at online portals.  Another Win-Win!

I often answer questions at Quora and Alignable about being a freelance copy/content/features writer, or about being transgender (non-transitioned, although I’ll be having my breasts removed within the next few months, which will be wonderful!), or about any number of other topics that I’m well-qualified to answer.

I’ve written fourteen books on various subjects, so there are a lot of topics I’m qualified to weigh in on. If you’d like to see a list of my titles, here are two links to take you to them: https://yellowballoonpublications.com/# and https://amzn.to/336whup.

If/when you need a writer, get in touch. If I can’t help you I may know someone who can. I also know a great web designer and some graphics pros if you’re in search of that kind of expertise. Heck, I know so many people I can probably help you with just about any challenge you’re facing! I’m a connector!

Let’s talk!
