It’s Sunday morning at 7:47 here in Costa Rica and I’ve been enjoying moments of mumblings from Charli and myself.
Charli got me up at 4
…which would usually be too early, but I went to sleep early last night knowing I’d have a rocky night again with this head and chest cold. I’m measurably better this morning. The phlegm in my lungs is less and loose. I still have a lot of sinus effluvia (to put it diplomatically) but it too is easy to get rid of. I don’t feel “stuffy” — just “river-y”, all tributaries working well to dispense with the crud my body is producing while it fights the virus. No fever or aches.
So, I walked 7500 steps in the apartment this morning again
…with a series of hot herbal teas in hand and a toilet paper roll within easy reach to employ when my nose threatened to run. I went slow while playing youTube meditation music on the smart TV flatscreen, which made the almost two hour long traipse pass without feeling like a marathon.
Charli Did Her In/Out Routine Several Times
…while I walked. She can’t figure out if she wants to monitor me or take a walk on the wild side, so she segues between the two options.
She mostly waits for me to settle in one place so she can come in and go to sleep on me. That’s her favorite pastime, whenever she isn’t “counting coup” by darting from under the bed or the kitchen nook trying to patty paw my ankles as I walk by during the exercise…
Want to Be Over This Cold by Wednesday
…when I go to the U.S. Embassy to get my Social Security statement notarized. I want to feel
completely up to par when I do that. I will wear an N-965 mask if I have to, though, so I don’t infect Jon or Adilio, if I’m still experiencing symptoms.
Guess that’s all for now.
