Today I’m missing my first NO KINGS RALLY ever. It sucks.
But I’m keeping an eye on the literally thousands of rallies and millions of protesters across the globe.
I am soooo WITH YOU!
But without (or even with!) a vehicle, getting to San Jose — two hours away on a “good traffic” day — would have taken Herculean effort.
I soooooo appreciate each and every one of you who got up today intent on attending a NO KINGS rally in your home towns, cities, states, or U.S. embassies.
The citizens of more than 10 foreign nations also turned out today to protest fascism in the United States. I hope everyone is having fun, staying safe, and remaining super peaceful and passive no matter what the provocations might be to react to far-right agitators who are looking for a fight so the Trump regime can impose martial law by way of the (hijacked) Insurrection Act. Don’t give them the satisfaction! Party hard, dance, sing, put flowers in the barrels of policefolks. Wear inflatable characters, carry home made or Vistaprinted signs, do whatever you can creatively to resist and reject the current regime that is intent on reducing the US Constitution and democratic republic to rubble to placate their owners, the newest members of The Gilded Age.
You can stop them. You can defeat them. There are many more of us than there are of then, and they know it. You hold the power to leave them powerless and toothless. Stop playing their games. Divest from their businesses. If your government isn’t supporting you, stop supporting it. (Stop paying your federal taxes if you owe them. “Taxation without representation is tyranny.”) You don’t owe this regime a damn thing. They owe YOU!
And you know it.

Thank you for standing up for so many millions more who would be standing with you if they could: the people who have to work today, the people who are disabled, the people too young or too old to get out there and join you.
YOU are showing us all the United State of Americans, gathered together today in as-yet-uncounted numbers, to say OH HELL NO to what the T-WRECKS regime is trying to turn your country of lofty ideals into.
