My Study Routine Explained

October 16, 2025

I’ve set a daily study routine for five days a week.

I’m going to study Spanish in some way, shape or form for at least three hours each study day.  It’ll be a combination of reading books for pleasure in Spanish, studying its forms via MADRIGALS MAGIC KEY TO SPANISH, and writing down up to ten pages of notes (five lined 8/5 x 11 pages, front and back).

I’ll skip studying on Fridays and hopefully Saturday or Sunday, too, if I can make myself behave and NOT study.

In Other News

There is no other news!  All I’ve been doing all week is studying.  That’s why I know I have to cut it back some. I didn’t move down here to bury my nose in books nonstop, that’s for sure!

My landlady even inquired about my wellbeing a couple days ago because she hadn’t seen hide nor hair of me for too long (a couple of days, max!).

I didn’t realize she hadn’t seen me.

I’ve been out on my patio several times a day every day either taking pictures, petting Mikey, or reading while sitting on the setee, and I’ve been getting up early every morning or two and taking the wet trash to the bin down at the main road. But she hadn’t seen me do that, or anything else, so she texted me on Tuesday to be sure I was okay.

I apologized for worrying her and then let her know that I post something on Facebook every day and that I write a daily blog post here on my website, so there are a lot of eyes on me and if I ever stopped, my far flung and nearby friends in Grecia would notice. I told her I gave them her phone number, when I gave her theirs some weeks ago, so she’d certainly get a call from someone if I disappeared from social media for any length of time. I think that relieved her. Sure hope so!  I feel awful that she hadn’t seen me often enough recently to ease her mind.

Contrast this with the fact that I haven’t heard a word of any kind (let alone any degree of concern or even curiosity) from my sisters (the only two remaining members of my nuclear family) ever since I left there six weeks ago. Silence. Crickets.  (Very much like when I lived there. Nothing new, but strangely odd — to me — from this distance!)

So, yeah.  I’m in the right place, for sure. People here (and everywhere else except Tacoma, thankfully!!!) give a damn.  It’s a nice feeling, and very much appreciated!

Floofs Cafe Launch Delayed

Lisa’s ecommerce website FLOOFSCAFE.com didn’t get off the launch pad on Friday as anticipated. Lisa ended up having to work one of the three days that she had asked to have off, so she wasn’t able to go live on Friday. She believes it will happen this week. I will let you know when it does. If you’re a cat lover, you’re gonna love it! Please be sure to share it with fellow cat lovers, too!
