IN 2024 WOMEN WILL SAVE DEMOCRACY AND MAKE “HERSTORY”

August 17, 2024

In 2024, WOMEN will AGAIN save democracy and make history.

Kamala Harris will become the first woman President thanks mostly to women who have been engaged in the political process for generations, but most recently to include Stacey Abrams (who was instrumental in flipping Georgia blue in the last election) and others in the women’s rights movement.

Black women.

Asian-American women.

Hispanic women

White women.

Women of all ages in all 50 states.

Every state has a population that has more women than men in it. And very few women like what Trump and Vance are offering them as options  for their future, nor are they liking the way these two male chauvinists are speaking about them. Vance will be one heartbeat away from the presidency if (unlikely as it is now) Trump wins and then croaks during his term.

WOMEN ARE THE ONES MOST INVOLVED IN GETTING OUT THE VOTE.

WOMEN ARE WRITING THE MOST POST CARDS TO SWING STATES.

WOMEN ARE EXCITED AND ENERGIZED IN A WAY THEY NEVER HAVE BEEN BEFORE.

Women vote more reliably in every election than do men. As a marginalized sex, they realize they must remain vigilant and engaged in the political process to keep moving toward equity and justice for all of us who call the United States our home.

The polls are mostly heading in the direction of Harris/Walz and most of the usual swing states’ polls are north of Trump/Vance already. And every time Trump or Vance opens his mouth today, more women (and the men who truly love and respect women) get turned off by what they say.

I foresee a massive blue tsunami in many states and certainly a blue wave in some states that usually lean red. Women are waking up to what life would be like under a Trump/Vance/Project 2025 regime: very bad news for most Americans, and especially for women, people of color, and middle class and lower.Trump/Vance have no solutions for the rest of us, only for themselves and their corporate backers.

Women realize it’s time for a change that will truly matter and benefit everyone who is struggling just to survive and to get ahead.
